This week has been a sniffly one with everyone feeling a bit under the weather. Everyone is coping well and getting a chance to rest up this weekend. The Grade 8 Basketball Team is over in Vancouver for a tournament that lasts Friday and Saturday. The Volleyball girls have been practicing this week and had their first game on Wednesday. Badminton tryouts began this week along with Tennis too. The Wizard of Oz musical rehearsals have been underway for two weeks now, we have a few boarders with on stage roles and many with backstage roles. It is going to be an epic performance thanks to all the talented students we have working both on and off stage!
The Grade 8's will have a chance to participate in a Cultural, Service & Leadership trip to Greece at the end of this school year, (June 25th- February 3rd). There is an information meeting on February 3rd that those interested are expected to attend. Those who are unable to attend (most boarding parents) are asked to email myself (Ms. McQueen) to be put on an email list for further information.
The Weekend activities were pizza/movie night on Friday (only grade 8s). Some of the Saturday activities included Knot tying, Movie, Hockey Game and Breakwater Ocean stroll. Tomorrow the grade 8's will have a chance to go to Hillside mall to get supplies they need for school. their rooms or personal items.
